Today, we received an email from Pastor Sam of Kerith Ministry. They have several urgent needs, so we are sharing the email with you. If you would like to help, please click the donate button.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I am writing this email to share with you concern over the drought. It is still a tremendous challenge, with many of our people going for days without food. Our church has tried to feed a number of families who are in a desperate situation. We have been able to buy some food and distribute it after the worship service, but this still leaves many without since it is little. We also have the challenge of feeding our cows, goats, and pigs.
We are worried about what will happen in January when schools open. We are praying for the rains and also for funds to be available to drive some distance to where they still have some food and buy for the next few months. Even if it rains now, it will take four months for us to have food.
A strong wind blew the roof off of part of our school. Two classes were affected. Thankfully, God saved our children who were practicing for their Christmas Celebrations! It will cost $620 to repair it before school opens.
Lastly, we need a well for our community. With the population so high, the church borehole can no longer serve the well, particularly in this dry spell. The hand pump well in our community would cost $3,100.
Thanks you as always for your prayers and care. Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year.
