Kerith Ministry, Uganda
Kerith Ministry is led by Pastor Samuel Mwesigwa and his wife Mercy. After graduating from East Africa School of Theology in 2007, the couple moved to Pallisa, a predominately Muslim community in eastern Uganda, to begin their work. The growing ministry includes a vibrant church community, children’s home, school, and community outreach projects.
The ministry provides training for indigenous pastors and church leaders. With a heart to share the Gospel in this Muslim community, there is a strong emphasis on church planting, and the ministry works hard to support new churches. They also host a weekly radio program on a local station which is a practical way to reach those who would otherwise not hear the Gospel. In addition, they offer weekly Bible Clubs which minister to more than 100 kids and work to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community by supplying food and basic necessities.
In partnership with other ministries, Kerith Ministry is currently caring for more than 20 children by providing them food, clothing, shelter, and education. These children live and attend primary school on the Kerith Ministry campus.
Kerith Ministry has raised funds to provide and install two water wells in the community and have the desire and vision to do more work like this in the future.
