WHO WE ARE

Harvesters International and our partners have been used by God for more than three decades to spread the Gospel and meet the physical and spiritual needs of underserved people and communities around the world. We’re humbled to be able to fulfill our mission in His name, and continue to do His work.

Harvesters is administered by a board of directors and a small, talented and dedicated staff.  Their diverse backgrounds and common goals make them an excellent team for the multi-faceted and exciting work taking place at Harvesters.

Our people

Doug’s heart for missions developed early in life while growing up in a church dedicated to spreading the Gospel to the world. As an adult, he served in pastoral roles for over 20 years with an emphasis on outreach and service, both locally and internationally.

God used several short-term trips to Central America, Africa, and Asia to further direct him towards his current role in international missions. In 2014, Doug formally joined Harvesters International and became the Executive Director in 2017.

He is thankful for the many relationships that serving as director of Harvesters International has brought to his daily life. His desire is for Jesus to made known and worshiped among all the people on earth and to be used by God to help meet the needs of those living in difficult places.

Doug lives in Wilson, North Carolina, with his wife, Pam. They have two adult daughters.

In 1998, J. spent 5 months living among the Pokot in a remote village of northwestern Kenya. He had no idea how that experience would shape his future.

After more than a decade in the real estate development and construction business, J. has also been involved in non-profit operations for over 20 years. With master’s degrees in business administration and Intercultural Studies, J. is currently the Director of Global & Local Partnerships for Kensington Church, a multi-site church in metro Detroit, and the Finance Director for Harvesters International.

J. loves hiking, generally anything outside, and traveling. He lives in Rochester, Michigan with his silver lab named Augie.

Andrea spent 25 years as Director of Corporate Communications for a multi-family management company, but felt God’s call for something more. He placed Harvesters directly in her path and she now uses her gifts of marketing, story-telling, and communications to share what God is doing around the world.

She actively serves in numerous ministries at Metrolina Church. She has a passion for worship and serves as vocal coordinator for the Worship Team. She has led mission teams throughout the United States and Europe and has traveled to work with our partners in Myanmar and Kenya.

Andrea enjoys baking, cooking, and exploring new places.  She lives in Harrisburg, North Carolina, with her husband, Andy, their daughters, Ava and Arden, two pups, and her backyard chickens.

Alli began to sense the Lord calling her to missions while she was in middle school. She went on her first trip to Kenya at age 14 and proceeded to go on several more short-term trips all throughout Asia and Europe. God grew her heart for the nations and finally, in 2017, she packed up and moved to India to serve as a full-time missionary.

She spent three years ministering to the unreached there before God altered her course. After returning to South Carolina in 2020, she met her husband, Luke, in a young adults Bible Study group. They married in January 2023 and their precious son, Connor, was born in August 2024.

Her passion for mission work is unchanged and she is excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with Harvesters in furthering the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

David and Helen have been serving in their local church since they were married 49 years ago.

In 2008, they became full-time missionaries, using their administrative skills to serve the Lord, as well as traveling to Asia to teach and encourage national believers.

David and Helen have a desire to serve the Lord wherever and however He will use them.  They joined Harvesters International to help in the areas of accounting and ministry to our national partners in Asia.

The Stansburys live in Falling Waters, West Virginia.  They have two terrific sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and four fantastic grandchildren.

2024: A year of GROWTH

Harvesters’ success is due to the generous support of our donors. Last year’s gifts of over $2.6 million resulted in many tens of thousands of people being served.
